Michael Riechman is a seasoned real estate investor and entrepreneur with over three decades of experience in multifamily acquisitions, operations, development, and capital markets. As the founder and principal of a national real estate and development company, he oversees a portfolio of more than 10,000 apartment units across 15 states, with a primary focus on affordable housing.

Recognized for his ability to combine disciplined investment strategy with mission-driven impact, Michael specializes in creating long-term value through sustainable housing solutions that balance financial performance with community stability. Under his leadership, his firm has become a leader in affordable housing preservation, workforce housing innovation, and operational excellence in property management.

Michael is particularly focused on solving labor and operational challenges in property management, driving innovation through AI, and implementing data-driven systems to enhance portfolio performance. His forward-looking approach integrates capital strategy, technology, and operational efficiency to strengthen communities while delivering superior returns.

Brian McGeady

Affordable Housing Development Leader

Brian McGeady oversees development strategy and execution for the affordable housing division, guiding all aspects of strategic planning, acquisitions, feasibility analysis, and partnership development. With a deep understanding of both non-profit and for-profit collaboration, Brian has built a track record of consistent success in securing competitive tax credit allocations and advancing complex development initiatives.

Under his leadership, the team has achieved an average of ten 9% tax credit awards annually over the past eight years, delivering senior, multifamily, and single-family communities financed through both 9% and 4% credits. Brian’s results-driven approach emphasizes disciplined development, strong partnerships, and the creation of sustainable housing that strengthens communities and expands access to quality, affordable homes.

Angie Hug

Executive Vice President of Property Management

Angie Hug is an accomplished property management executive with extensive leadership experience in affordable housing operations, compliance, and portfolio performance. As Executive Vice President of Property Management at Pivotal Housing Partners, she provides strategic leadership across the company’s property management operations, with a focus on operational excellence, financial performance, regulatory compliance, and the continued growth and development of high-performing teams.

Recognized for her ability to combine strategic leadership with hands-on operational expertise, Angie specializes in driving NOI growth, improving efficiencies, and building systems that support strong portfolio performance. Prior to joining Pivotal Housing Partners, she led affordable housing and compliance operations at National Church Residences, overseeing more than 900 professionals and 350 communities across 24 states.

Before joining National Church Residences, Angie served as Senior Vice President of Operations at Kittle Property Group, where she developed revenue management programs, centralized key business functions, and enhanced cross-departmental efficiency. With experience spanning every level of property management, Angie is deeply passionate about developing teams, empowering leaders, and strengthening communities. She holds a Bachelor of Science from Purdue University, a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, a Wharton Data Analyst Certification, and Harvard Business School’s “Leading in the Digital Era” credential.

Brad Weeter

Senior Vice President & Controller

Brad Weeter is an accomplished finance and accounting executive with experience spanning real estate operations, financial reporting, accounting, and capital allocation. As Senior Vice President & Controller at Pivotal Housing Partners, he provides strategic financial leadership across the organization, overseeing accounting, financial reporting, and operational controls while supporting the company’s continued growth in the affordable and workforce housing sectors.

With a background that includes commercial and residential real estate, public accounting, and development, Brad brings a well-rounded perspective to financial management and organizational efficiency. Prior to joining Pivotal Housing Partners, Brad built his technical foundation at Grant Thornton, where he worked across audit and assurance engagements in real estate and construction. Under his direction, Pivotal’s accounting function operates as a driver of decision-making rather than a reporting exercise — strengthening financial transparency, tightening operational controls, and giving leadership real-time visibility into portfolio performance.

A graduate of the University of Cincinnati, Brad pairs technical accounting depth with an operator’s understanding of real estate. He is particularly focused on modernizing the finance function — streamlining LIHTC compliance and investor reporting, building data-driven reporting systems, and applying automation and AI to eliminate manual work. His approach connects financial discipline to operational performance, ensuring capital is deployed where it strengthens both portfolio returns and the communities Pivotal serves.

Jenna Bathiany

Senior Vice President of Human Resources

Jenna Bathiany is a seasoned human resources executive with more than 14 years of experience in talent development, organizational leadership, and culture building. As Senior Vice President of Human Resources at Pivotal Housing Partners, she leads with a people-first philosophy — believing that when employees feel supported and equipped, they’re free to do the job they were hired to do, and everything else follows.

Since joining Pivotal six years ago, Jenna has helped shape a family-oriented, high-performance culture rooted in care, integrity, and collaboration. She led the redesign of the HR team’s structure, launched a leadership development program to equip managers with the tools to lead well, and is developing a new career-leveling program for maintenance teams. She also leads company-wide town halls that keep recognition and connection at the center of Pivotal’s culture. At the heart of it all is what drives her: listening closely to employee feedback and building programs that strengthen engagement and retention across the organization.

A native of northwest Ohio and a graduate of the University of Cincinnati with a degree in Organizational Leadership, Jenna brings that same people-first mindset home. She and her husband, married for almost ten years, spend much of their free time cheering on their three kids’ sports and activities.

Nicklaus McKee

Executive Vice President & General Counsel

Nicklaus McKee is an accomplished real estate attorney and executive with extensive experience in multifamily housing finance, affordable housing transactions, and complex real estate deal structures. As Executive Vice President & General Counsel, he provides strategic legal oversight and guidance across all aspects of the company’s real estate development, investment, and operational activities.

With deep expertise in HUD-insured lending, LIHTC transactions, and multifamily finance, Nicklaus plays a critical role in advancing the company’s affordable housing mission while navigating complex regulatory and transactional requirements. His experience allows him to bring a practical, business-focused approach to legal strategy, helping ensure that each transaction supports both long-term growth and sustainable community impact.

Before joining Pivotal in 2020, Nicklaus spent a decade with Vorys, Sater, Seymour and Pease LLP, where he represented lenders nationwide in HUD-insured financing transactions for multifamily, senior living, and healthcare facilities. Today, he leverages that experience to help drive the company’s strategic vision, supporting the development and preservation of affordable housing while ensuring strong legal, regulatory, and operational alignment.

Katie Orze Mancuso

Regional Vice President

Katie Orze Mancuso is an accomplished property management leader with more than 15 years of experience overseeing multifamily housing operations across diverse markets. As Regional Vice President, she provides strategic leadership focused on operational excellence, team development, resident satisfaction, and portfolio performance. Throughout her career, Katie has successfully managed and supported communities across Texas, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Colorado, Florida, and Missouri, bringing a broad understanding of market dynamics, affordable housing operations, and resident-focused property management.

Recognized for her collaborative leadership style and commitment to building strong teams, Katie is passionate about creating communities where residents feel proud to call home. She believes that exceptional resident experiences begin with engaged and supported employees and works closely with her teams to foster positive workplace cultures, professional growth, and accountability. Her dedication to affordable housing is rooted in a commitment to providing quality housing opportunities while maintaining operational integrity and exceptional service standards.

With experience spanning all facets of property management, Katie combines hands-on operational expertise with a people-first approach to leadership. She is committed to driving performance, strengthening communities, and developing the next generation of property management professionals. Katie holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Purdue University.

Katy Wendel

Regional Vice President of Property Management

Katy Wendel is Regional Vice President of Property Management for Ohio, Indiana, and Kentucky.

She has over 37 years’ experience in residential property management with the last 27 years focused primarily on the affordable housing division.

Katy supervises six regional leaders with portfolios of stabilized and pre-stabilized properties that are in various stages of lease up.

Katy focuses on finding new opportunities to improve operations while collaborating with compliance department to ensure joint expectations are met. She assists in creating accurate budgets that increase financial performance to maximize operating income. Katy is responsible for expense control, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and capital expenditures. She has a passion for the affordable housing industry and inspires her team through her leadership and knowledge.

She maintains staffing through hiring, onboarding, coaching, and counseling associates. She ensures staff is compliant with Federal, State, and local fair housing laws.
Prior to joining Pivotal, Katy held similar roles with MVAH and Miller Valentine Group.

Regional Vice President of Property Management

Pete Schwiegeraht

Senior Vice President of Development - Midwest

Pete Schwiegeraht leads the development activities in the Midwest Region (Ohio, Indiana, Michigan, & others) for Pivotal and is responsible for the strategic planning, acquisitions, development process, feasibility analysis and the creation of strategic housing partnerships with both non‐profit and for‐profit organizations. Under Pete’s leadership, the region has produced more than 40, 9% tax credit allocations over the last ten years. Product types include senior communities, multifamily and single family homes financed with both 9% and 4% credits.

Darren Smith

Senior Vice President of Development - Southwest Region

Throughout Darren’s career, he has been successful in executing more than $1 Billion in total development cost of multi-family housing projects throughout the country. His ability to work with non-profit, government agencies, and for-profit partners has been instrumental in his success. His experience has involved projects that included but not limited to traditional bank financing, HUD, Freddie, Fannie, and loan assumptions. Other programs essential in his success include LIHTC Section 42, Workforce Housing structures, Tax-Exempt Bond Financing, HOME funds, CDBG funds, Historic Preservation, Brownfield credits, Solar Energy credits, and city & county subordinate funds. Darren has been involved in all facets of the development process including site selection, strategic planning, feasibility analysis, site contract & acquisition, entitlements & zoning changes, negotiations with all third-party professionals. Focused on bringing projects in on-time and on-budget begins with identification of General Contractors, bidding, and managing construction through completion all while strategically developing and implementing a lease-up and stabilization plan. Wyllys Mann

Senior Vice President of Development - Upper Midwest

Wyllys has over 15 years of experience across a variety of real estate subsectors. Prior to joining Pivotal as Regional Director of Development and then Senior Vice President for the Upper Midwest, Wyllys Mann was Director of Facilities Services at Baird & Warner Real Estate Services, one of the nation’s oldest and largest family-owned real estate sales companies. Before that he helped to launch Affordable Community Energy, a New Market Tax Credit financed energy efficiency and renewable energy company, which was recognized by the Obama White House and the Department of Energy as a critical contributor to the fight against climate change. Earlier in his career Wyllys gained experience with residential and commercial tax credit developments, including the Chicago Housing Authority’s 3 phase redevelopment of Rockwell Gardens and the Washington Park SRO, Chicago’s first LEED accredited Low Income Housing Tax Credit property.
His leadership goes beyond the office. He is the Vice President of Neighborspace, a public private partnership that transforms vacant lots into community gardens and co-founder of Hyde Park International, an adult recreational soccer club with participants from more than 30 countries. Wyllys was the Michael Smurfit School of Business MBA Class of 2008 “Future Thinker” Scholar. He was among the first generation of LEED Accredited Professionals and is also a Building Performance Institute Certified Building Analyst and BPI Certified HVAC Professional.

Trey Barbour

Senior Vice President of Development- Northeast

Trey Barbour leads development activities in the Northeast Region (Pennsylvania, New York, West Virginia, & others) and is responsible for the strategic planning, site and portfolio acquisition, feasibility analysis, and overall project coordination for Pivotal. Trey works closely with local governments, community leaders and partners to ensure the highest quality outcomes for the communities we serve. Bringing more than 15 years of economic and real estate development experience, Trey has extensive knowledge of affordable housing (9% & 4%), historic rehabilitation, mixed-income, and mixed-use projects. He received his bachelor’s degree from Penn State University and his master’s degree from the Graduate School of Public and International Affairs (GSPIA) at the University of Pittsburgh. Prior to working with Pivotal, Trey was Senior Project Manager at Trek Development Group, a Pittsburgh-based real estate development company. While at Trek, Trey managed a variety of projects (affordable, commercial, market rate) from inception to completion resulting in $100+ million in development. Trey was co-founder and Principal of Patrick Edelen, a real estate consulting firm focused on working with private equity groups and local government agencies on economic development strategies and providing overall project management, debt restructuring, tax increment financing, and construction management experience. Trey also worked as Special Assistant to the Chief Executive of Allegheny County and as a Senior Project Manager at the Urban Redevelopment Authority of Pittsburgh (URA). Trey is a Certified Coro Leadership and Development Trainer. He is a member of the Urban Land Institute and the National Trust for Historic Preservation.
